Here are some HCG diet tips that explain everything I did while on the homeopathic HCG Diet and taking homeopathic HCG for HCG Diet Phase 2.

This HCG Diet and homeopathic HCG drops worked for me and it will work for you, too, but results may vary. 

I do want to add that the Dr. Simeons HCG Diet states to follow the HCG Diet exactly.

Now I'm one that always follows rules, but I did make some variations of my own and I still lost 20 pounds in 27 days. (I have now lost a total of 34 pounds.)

The OWL Diet & Dr. Simeons HCG Diet Combined

While doing research on the HCG Diet, I also came across The OWL Diet (The updated HCG Diet) by Carter O. Abbott, M.D.
  • Dr. Abbott teaches a LCD (low calorie diet) of 600-700 calories per day.
  • Average loss is still 15-20 pounds per month.

I combined The OWL Diet with Dr. Simeons HCG Diet and lost the weight just as fast.

  • I usually ate the 600-700 calories per day.

 

Your HCG LLC

The OWL Diet Allows

The OWL Diet allows the following:
  • 600-700 calories (Dr. Simeons HCG Diet is 500 calories).
    • I ate 600-700 calories per day.
  • Any sugar substitutes (Dr. Simeons HCG Diet is just stevia).
    • I used Equal of Splenda.
  • One serving of alcohol per day – low cal beer, 4 oz dry wine, 1 ½ oz liquor with diet pop (not allowed on Dr. Simeons HCG Diet ).
    • I occasionally drank Select 55 beer (only 55 calories).
  • Diet soda – 0 calories, in moderation (not allowed on Dr. Simeons HCG Diet).
    • I drank diet soda daily.
  •  Crystal Light, in moderation because it is not 0 calories (not allowed on Dr. Simeons HCG Diet).
    • I occasionally drank Crystal Light.
  • Creams, makeup, lotions (not allowed unless oil free on Dr. Simeons HCG Diet).
    • I used all my normal skin care products.
  • You can mix vegetables in the same meal (not allowed on the Dr. Simeons HCG Diet):
    • 4 cups of vegetables per day.
    • Unlimited lettuce per day.
    • Unlimited celery per day.
    • Snow peas in moderation – ½ cup per day.
      • I always mixed my vegetables.
  • You can also eat the following fruit (not allowed on the Dr. Simeons HCG Diet):
    • 2 cups of cantaloupe (limit 1 serving of melon per day).
    • 2 cups of honeydew melon (limit 1 serving of melon per day).
    • 2 cups of watermelon (limit 1 serving of melon per day).
    • 1/3 cup blueberries.
      • I ate these fruit and still lost weight.
  •  You can eat 100 calories of grain carbs per day (not allowed on the Dr. Simeons HCG Diet):
    • I ate this daily.
    • If you are not losing 3-4 pounds per week, then cut back (or eliminate) the grain carbs.
    • You can choose from the following:
      • I bagel thin.
      • 1 thin bun/roll.
      • Melba Toast (5 pieces per pack).
      • 2 Wasa Crisp breads (crackers).
      • 4 Ak-Mak crackers.
      • 4 Alessi breadsticks (I like these).
      • 100 calorie pack of Orville Redenbacher's Gourmet Microwave Popcorn, Mini Bags. (I would split the popcorn in half and put it in 2 different baggies for my snacks for the day – 50 calories each.)

Exercise - Not Necessary

Exercise is not necessary and I did not exercise while taking the homeopathic HCG.
  • The OWL Diet allows:
    • Walking up to 30 minutes per day on a treadmill - no more than 3.3 mph and no incline.
    • Leisure bike riding, light yoga and light pool activity.
    • Massages are permitted (not permitted on the Dr. Simeons HCG Diet).

More Tips for the HCG Diet

  • I was well organized with my foods.
    • I planned my meals a day or 2 ahead.
    • I  prepared my lunch the night before.
  • I limited salt.
  • I always had food in my car in case I was running late and wouldn’t be home in time for a snack. Such as:
    • a piece of fruit
    • 100 calorie pack of Orville Redenbacher's Gourmet Microwave Popcorn, Mini Bags
    • Alessi breadsticks
  • I took a multivitamin daily:
    • GNC WOMENS ULTRA MEGA ACTIVE.
  • I took a fiber supplement daily.
  • I chewed sugar free gum.
  • For snacks, I would eat:
    • A piece of fruit
    • 100 calorie pack of Orville Redenbacher's Gourmet Microwave Popcorn, Mini Bags
    • Alessi breadsticks
  • I occasionally drank Select 55 beer (it has 55 calories) on the weekends.
    • This is not on the diet, so I cheated, but I usually lost 2 pounds the next day.
  • I used 1 Tablespoon of Ranch dressing on my salad.
    • I could not find any low calorie dressings that I liked.
    • I dipped my salad into the dressing instead of pouring it on top.
  • I used Smart Balance spray butter or I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter spray butter on my vegetables.
    • I ate a lot of broccoli!
  • I bought frozen strawberries and either ate them frozen or let them thaw in the refrigerator.
  • Before dinner, I sometimes sipped on a cup of Wyler’s beef or chicken bouillon.
    • That filled me up.
  • I fried the beef or chicken in a pan with Pam, or baked it or grilled it.
  • I used this easy beef or chicken recipe:
    • Put tinfoil on cookie sheet.
    • Put chicken or hamburger patties on it.
    • Season meat.
    • Cover loosely with tinfoil.
    • Bake 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until done.
  • I cooked normal meals for my family, such as a roast, but I'd only eat the meat and a vegetable like broccoli, while they would eat the potatoes and carrots.
  • For snacks, I sometimes ate vlasic pickles (with Splenda).
  • I weighed myself daily on a Digital Scale . (Be sure to buy one.)
  • I read package labels for the calorie content and sugar content.
    • Make sure it’s low calorie and low sugar.
  • Precook your meat in measured portions for several days in advance.
    • Limit beef to 2 days per week, as it is higher in calorie content. (I ate a lot of beef, I’m from Nebraska.)
    • Mainly white chicken and white fish.

Stay Regular

A bowel movement every 3-4 days is normal on the HCG Diet, but your goal should be every day or every other day.

    • You can use the HCG Food Journal to keep track of what you eat every day.
  • Daily Food Journal:
    • I created this so that I could remember what to eat at what times. I would put an X under the column to correspond with the meal on the left. After a few days, I no longer needed to use this, but it helped me to stay organized at first.
  • HCG Grocery List:
    • I created this grocery list and used it when I would go to the grocery store. It has all the foods on it that you can eat.

    • You must read this Pounds and Inches eBook by Dr. Simeons in its entirety before starting the HCG diet. It has all the information on the Dr. Simeons HCG diet.
  • Weight Tracker Chart - Download and save this chart to keep track of the following:
    • Weigh and measure yourself before you start.
    • Weigh yourself every morning and note on the chart.
    • Measure yourself once a week and note on the chart.

My Typical Day on the HCG DIet

My typical day on the HCG Diet includes the following:
  • BREAKFAST – fruit, water/coffee/tea
  • MORNING SNACK – breadsticks or popcorn
  • LUNCH – lettuce, vegetables, chicken or beef
  • AFTERNOON SNACK – fruit or breadsticks or popcorn
  • DINNER – lettuce, vegetables, chicken or beef
  •  64 oz water daily
  • Do not eat after 7pm

I took the homeopathic HCG drops every 2-3 hours (6 times a day). (After you take the HCG drops, do not eat or drink for 15-30 minutes.)

  • 5:00 am - when I get up in the morning
  • 8:00 am
  • 10:30 am - before lunch (I eat lunch at 11:00 am)
  • 1:30 pm
  • 4:00 pm
  • 7:00 pm (after dinner)

In a Nutshell, You Can Eat Per Day

In a nutshell, you can eat the following per day:
  • 2 fruit
  • 4 cups vegetables
  • Lettuce – as much as you want
  • Celery – as much as you want
  • 7 oz protein (3.5 oz each meal)
  • 100 calories grain carbs – i.e. popcorn, Melba Toast, Alessi breadsticks
  • 64 oz water
  • Diet pop
  • Coffee
  • Tea
  • Fresh lemon or Real Lemon
